DECLARATION OF INITIATING IMPORT CUSTOMS CLEARANCE INDEPENDENT FROM POST, DIRECTLY AT NATIONAL TAX AND CUSTOMS ADMINISTRATION

If you do not want Magyar Posta to perform customs clearance automatically, as a private individual for postal items at a maximum value of EUR 150, you can arrrange your import customs clearance on your own directly in the eVÁM web application on the website of National Tax and Customs Administration (NTCA, Hungarian abbreviation: NAV). For the use of eVÁM signing in through the so-called Central Identification Agent (governmental central identification service) is a must.
We would like to inform you that the use of eVÁM for filling in electronic customs declarations, is free of charge, however Posta charges a fee for its contribution in the customs clearance. This type of customs clearance can be initiated only before the postal item arrives in Hungary.
